About me

Hi, I'm Dr. Taylor Stearns, a licensed clinical psychologist dedicated to helping adults overcome challenges and achieve their fullest potential through psychotherapy. I've been practicing since 2016.

I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego and completed my APA-accredited pre- and post-doctoral training with Kaiser Permanente in Northern California.

For the past two years, I've focused on my private practice, specializing in working with depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationships, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors and enjoying the company of my friends, family, and dog.

I look forward to connecting with you.

My approach

My therapeutic approach is founded on collaboration. Together, we will identify and set your personal goals, ensuring that our work is guided by your unique needs and aspirations.

When you work with me, you can expect a gentle push to help you grow. I believe that doing the work is less about “talking the talk” and more about “walking the walk.” This means I'll actively challenge you to pursue your goals while providing the support you need to make meaningful changes.

I rely heavily on behavioral techniques and emphasize the importance of living a value-directed life while reducing behaviors that are sources of suffering. Our sessions will be infused with a light-hearted touch and humor to create a comfortable and engaging environment.
